What an incredible experience camp has been this year!
Each week was filled with tons of fun learning experiences right on the farm.
All of us here truly enjoyed sharing our farm life experiences with the campers this summer, from shearing the sheep dying wool to milking goats and collecting eggs.
Camp was such a succes that we will be expanding next year to include 8 students per group with 2 teachers pr group of 8.
Our extremely low student to teacher ratio allows teachers to follow the child's specific interests and cater lessons and learning around what the child is most interested in and curious about.
A young child's mind is like a sponge just ready to absorb the experiences around them.
Opportunities include but are not limited to:
- Carding and weaving wool and making an art project with the yarn.
- Milking goats, making soap, butter or ice cream (please advise us of any milk allergies)
- Learning the life cycle with hands lessons, incubating eggs in our hatchery as well as watching them hatch in our very own duck sanctuary.
- Lots of fun information about the different colors of egg shells
- Ever wonder if ducks have teeth? Or how they eat. Lots of cool information included in our Water Fowl curriculum.
- Learn lots of fun and silly facts about pigs, goats, and sheep such as why goats burb, and cows chew thier cud (part of our cow and sheep digestive system lesson)
- Basic Animal Care(Animal Husbandry)
- Horse riding experiences! And so much more it could fill pages of this site!
